How can I book in with a hairdresser/salon?

We are working to have an awesome online booking option in the next few months.


Currently, we have a few ways to get in touch with the hairdresser/salon:

  1. Quote My Hair – You will be asked a series of questions about your current hair and what you’d like to achieve. Your responses will be used to provide an estimate for your desired hair.
  2. Phone/Email/ SMS (depends what the hairdresser has opted as their desired form of contact)

How do I reschedule/cancel an appointment? *

You would’ve received a booking confirmation email/SMS when you first made the booking. You will need to contact the salon directly to cancel or reschedule with the number provided on the email/SMS.

What payment methods are available? *

Payments for bookings online can be made via credit card or Paypal. Payments can also be made on the day using facilities available from partners.

What is the best way to show my appreciation for my hairdresser?

Leaving a detailed review on your hairdresser’s profile page is always a great way to make their day. Reviews will assist them in the long run to strengthen their brand and grow their business.

What if I am not happy with my haircut/colour?

We understand that sometimes things don’t work out and it is hard to convey this to your hairdresser – whether it is to pass on constructive feedback or arranging a redo we are here to help! Please get in touch with us or via [email protected] and we will do our best to liaise with your hairdresser for you. Keep in mind, we cannot guarantee any particular results.

What is Virtual Consultation?

A series of questions about your current hair and what you’d like to achieve. Your responses will be used to provide an estimate for your desired hair.

How long until I receive my quote?

You’ll receive an estimated quote for your hair within 48 hours of your enquiry.

Is my quote a fixed price?

No, quotes are indicative.


How do I secure my booking if I’m happy with my quote?

If you’re happy with your quote, you can choose to book directly with the hairdresser via their preferred method. Alternatively, we can assist in liaising with the hairdresser for you. A deposit may be required for some hairdressers.  

What if I would like to get a quote from multiple hairdressers?

Send us an email at [email protected] and we can connect you to multiple hairdressers for a quote so you won’t have to complete ‘Quote My Hair’ for each hairdresser.

For Hairdressers

Who can list on the site?

We accept all qualified hairdressers Australia-wide. You can opt to list as a salon, independent hairdresser or an employee of a salon. 

If you are signing up as a salon – we recommend creating a salon profile as well as having your staff create separate employee profiles. Employee profiles will have bookings all redirected back to the salon. 

Benefits 

  • Customers will be able to browse each employee portfolio and ensure they book a suitable hairstylist for them
  • All employee profiles will be redirected to the salon upon booking increasing salon’s overall exposure and presence on our platform

How much does it cost to list my business?

Zilch! We do not charge listing fees.

How do I take bookings?

Customers can book with you via your preferred method(s):

  • Online Instant Book (coming soon) – This feature allows customers to book directly from our online calendar based on your availability. This option is recommended to maximize bookings, as 46% of bookings happen outside of business hours. 
  • Phone (SMS or call) 
  • Email

What if I already use an existing booking software such as Timely etc…?*

Our online booking system has 2 way integration with other salon management software via Google Calendar sync e.g. Timely. When appointments are booked, this is automatically added to your Google calendar. If you have an event already booked in your Google calendar, Hair Hunters will be able to see this and block that time slot out as well.


Essentially, there will be two systems feeding into one Google calendar so nothing will change other than your seats filling up twice as fast!

How does Online Instant Book work? *

This feature allows customers to book directly from our online calendar based on your availability.

  1. Customers book and pay for a service(s) from the calendar on your profile
  2. Appointments are automatically added to your work calendar and you will also receive an email/SMS confirmation
  3. Customers attend their appointments
  4. You are paid directly to your nominated bank account

Do you take any booking fees or commissions? *

We currently do not take any fees or commissions on top of the standard Paypal/Stripe fees as the platform was created to support salons and hairdressers during lockdowns.

A small fee may be introduced at a future date if on-going maintenance and upkeep of the platform is required. All partners will be notified and easily opt to stay or leave the platform.

We will be introducing an optional Premium membership with extra features at a later date.

What is Virtual Consultation?

A series of questions about a client’s hair and what they’d like to achieve. This feature is designed to reduce going back and forth to quote and book. For more information see our Virtual Consultation page.

How do I update my details or add photos to my profile?

You can submit changes or updates to your profile via www.hairhunters.com.au/partner-updates/. Changes are updated 24 hours after submission.

What happens if I cannot take anymore bookings?

We can remove your booking details and activate a waiting list. The waiting list function will have people record their contact details down until you are ready to take bookings again. 

Please email us via [email protected] if you would like to activate your waiting list. 

How do I remove my listing?

Please email us via [email protected] to remove your listing.

Job Listing

How much does it cost to list a job vacancy?

For each job position, we take a once off payment of $19.95 or $29.95 to list for 60 days or 90 days respectively.


This fee includes:

  • Set up and maintenance of your job listing
  • 2 x FB/Instagram story shout outs for 60 days

OR

  • 4 x FB/Instagram story shout outs for 90 days
